 NMP – No More Pain

Transforming Pain Into Purpose Through Healing
— A Sickle Cell Journey by Noèl M. Pierre

About

Hi, I’m Noèl.

I’m currently in the hospital navigating a serious sickle cell crisis. This time, I knew I needed to start doing something bigger—not just for me, but for every person who lives with chronic pain.

So I created NMP: No More Pain — a movement to speak up, heal out loud, and transform this pain into something purposeful. This is just the beginning.

Our Mission
No More Pain is a sickle cell advocacy movement focused on health, healing, and hope.
We raise awareness through personal storytelling, community connection, and resilience-building.
Our goal is to motivate others to fight for their lives—mentally, physically, and emotionally.

Follow My Journey

Stay connected as I recover and build NMP from my hospital bed to a full movement.

I’ll be sharing updates, reflections, and future plans—right here.

🎧 What’s Next After Recovery?

After recovery, I plan to lead a new wave of recreational healing in the sickle cell community—centered on joy, connection, and fun.

While many spaces focus on the medical and emotional heaviness of this condition, NMP will offer events that lift spirits and bring people together.

Using my gift as a DJ and my deep connection to the community, I’ll create events that are both uplifting and impactful.

 Planned Goals After Recovery

🎉 Host sickle cell support events focused on fun, relaxation, and healing

🎧 DJ the events myself, curating music that helps people release stress and feel joy

🫂 Build inclusive spaces for warriors, caregivers, and loved ones

💬 Include time for real discussions, while keeping the energy hopeful

📢 Raise awareness through presence and positivity

💝 Fundraise to support the sickle cell community in practical and personal ways

🔥 Day 12 – Tempted, But Stayed On Track

Yesterday almost got me. There were some baked beans and ribs calling my name—and not quietly either. But I reminded myself why I started this detox in the first place. I stayed focused. I stayed committed. I stayed on the teas. And I’m glad I did. Today, the inflammation in my hands is noticeably down. That small win? It’s everything. Because it’s proof this is working. Discipline over impulse. Healing over habit. I’m proud of how far I’ve come. We almost there. — Boogie

💪🏾 Days 7–10: Mental First, Physical Second

Mental First, Physical Second You can’t do this journey halfway. This detox isn’t just about what you eat — it’s about how you think, how you push, and how you show up when nobody’s clapping. I’ve learned these past few days that mental strength is everything. You’ve gotta be locked in — because the food cravings, the emotions, the body pain… they’ll all try to pull you out of alignment. But I’m still in the game. Still here. Still walking, still showing up, still pushing. I even did my physical therapy walk today. One foot in front of the other. Some days it’s slow. But I’m moving. And I’m proud of that. 🧠 This Is Discipline This isn’t easy for me. But it’s real. You gotta be mentally prepared for change. You gotta want something different bad enough to push through the moments that make you want to quit. And if you fall, get back up. If you slow down, take a breath — then keep going. 🗣️ Final Thought I’m still in the game. That’s the win. Let’...

Days 4–6: Slipped, But Still Showing Up

Let me be real with y’all. Day 4 and 5? They weren’t my best. I kind of fell off. Somebody brought me food that wasn’t on the plan… and I definitely wasn’t in the best headspace. I didn’t really say anything at first because I didn’t want to disappoint anyone. But I’ve learned that silence doesn’t help healing. So here I am, saying it now. 🧠 Detox Isn’t Perfection This process isn’t easy. If you’ve ever tried to change the way you eat, the way you heal, or even the way you think—you already know. It’s a mental game as much as it is physical. And for anyone out there trying this detox or something like it: if you mess up, it’s not over. I’m proud of myself for even starting this challenge. I could’ve made excuses. I could’ve ignored the pain. But I said yes. I committed. Even if I tripped up, I didn’t quit. 🍵 Back on Track Today is Day 6, and I’m back on it. I made my tea this morning. I had the soup this evening. I sent the proof, because I’m learning that acc...
