Boogie’s Detox: Day 1 Recap

Posted by the Eons of Chriss Team

Day 1 is in the books—and Boogie came out the gate showing up.

He started the day in pain, dealing with swelling in his hands and the Florida heat, but still made his way outside, grabbed his groceries, and checked in with the detox support group. That kind of effort may not seem flashy to the outside world, but this is where healing starts—with choice, with movement, with showing up even when it hurts.

His words at the end of the day were honest:

“I’m in pain… but it is what it is. I’m doing this.”

This isn’t a fad diet. It’s a temporary protocol designed to give the body a break from the foods that drain it, and a chance to activate the systems that know how to heal. The goal isn’t just to get through 14 days—it’s to reset the relationship with food, inflammation, and internal power.

For Boogie, the mission is clear: manage his sickle cell symptoms, reduce pain and swelling, and give his body a chance to operate in alignment—not inflammation.

We’re proud of Day 1.

It wasn’t perfect. It was real.

And that’s exactly what this journey is about.

🔥 Day 12 – Tempted, But Stayed On Track

Yesterday almost got me. There were some baked beans and ribs calling my name—and not quietly either. But I reminded myself why I started this detox in the first place. I stayed focused. I stayed committed. I stayed on the teas. And I’m glad I did. Today, the inflammation in my hands is noticeably down. That small win? It’s everything. Because it’s proof this is working. Discipline over impulse. Healing over habit. I’m proud of how far I’ve come. We almost there. — Boogie

💪🏾 Days 7–10: Mental First, Physical Second

Mental First, Physical Second You can’t do this journey halfway. This detox isn’t just about what you eat — it’s about how you think, how you push, and how you show up when nobody’s clapping. I’ve learned these past few days that mental strength is everything. You’ve gotta be locked in — because the food cravings, the emotions, the body pain… they’ll all try to pull you out of alignment. But I’m still in the game. Still here. Still walking, still showing up, still pushing. I even did my physical therapy walk today. One foot in front of the other. Some days it’s slow. But I’m moving. And I’m proud of that. 🧠 This Is Discipline This isn’t easy for me. But it’s real. You gotta be mentally prepared for change. You gotta want something different bad enough to push through the moments that make you want to quit. And if you fall, get back up. If you slow down, take a breath — then keep going. 🗣️ Final Thought I’m still in the game. That’s the win. Let’...

Days 4–6: Slipped, But Still Showing Up

Let me be real with y’all. Day 4 and 5? They weren’t my best. I kind of fell off. Somebody brought me food that wasn’t on the plan… and I definitely wasn’t in the best headspace. I didn’t really say anything at first because I didn’t want to disappoint anyone. But I’ve learned that silence doesn’t help healing. So here I am, saying it now. 🧠 Detox Isn’t Perfection This process isn’t easy. If you’ve ever tried to change the way you eat, the way you heal, or even the way you think—you already know. It’s a mental game as much as it is physical. And for anyone out there trying this detox or something like it: if you mess up, it’s not over. I’m proud of myself for even starting this challenge. I could’ve made excuses. I could’ve ignored the pain. But I said yes. I committed. Even if I tripped up, I didn’t quit. 🍵 Back on Track Today is Day 6, and I’m back on it. I made my tea this morning. I had the soup this evening. I sent the proof, because I’m learning that acc...
